How to infill a new family home in an established real neighborhood. It is a lesson in regional design.
CMSA was asked to design a medium scaled home for a young family in an established Sarasota neighborhood. A “new “ design was not appropriate for this neighborhood. It had to be respectfully fitting but inspirational to the client and to the region. This is what we call true regional design. This creative incorporates the neighborhood elements surrounding this home but also improving that palette for a young and growing family. Respecting the existing vegetation and the existing grounds were the only way to make this home, when finished, feel like it had always been there but also took the design bar just a bit higher.
